NICK CUCUNATO - Guitarist / Vocalist

NICK CUCUNATO - Guitarist / Vocalist for The Bluefire Band, was born and raised in Toronto, Canada and has been involved in music as long as he can remember.

In 4th grade, even though they could not play instruments yet, Nick and his band went from class to class singing songs, clapping their hands and stomping their feet for their fellow students every Friday afternoon. He caught the bug and has been in bands constantly since then.

Nick studied music at Humber College in Toronto, and went on to become a busy session player and performed on many jingles for T.V. and Radio.His talents were sought after by artists such as ETTA JAMES, SAM MOORE of SAM AND DAVE and saxophonist extrordinaire TOM SCOTT.

Nick worked as Bandleader and Musical Director at THE CLUB BLUENOTE in Toronto for 3 1/2 years, playing with many of R&B’s greats including JUNIOR WALKER, BEN E. KING, THE STYLISTICS AND STEVIE WONDER.

In 1992 he moved with his family to south Florida where he has established himself and has worked with many acts since.

Nick considers working with THE BLUE FIRE BAND the highlight.
